My Favorite Car.

When I was in high school I had a car nicknamed the Pimpmoblie. It was great. He was a two door 1978 Pontiac Bonneville. Someone was smart enough to buy the factory white one, but then painted the bug guard white too. This may seem weird, but it is only the start of what made this car just awesome. When you used the blinker the opposite side of the bug would start to blink and then reflect into the car. This would make the inside light up like the 1970's disco from when the car was born.

Disco wasn't his favorite, but he did love Bad Bad Leroy Brown along with some other classics. These classics were pretty easy to find on 8 track. Well as easy as it can be to find 8 tracks. When we really decide to party out he would kick up his sun roof. Now the sun roof could be removed so that everyone could enjoy that Bad Bad Leroy Brown, and was needed on the may mini road trips we took.

The mini road trip was a very very important thing with the Pimpmoblie. He didn't have much endurance due to the leak in his gas tank that only allowed him about a 150 mile radius from home. He also had a tendency to break and one time he had to borrow my belt in order to make it through the weekend. The cable that ran from the gas peddle to the accelerator broke. We attached what was left of the cable to my belt and then ran my belt in through the drivers side window. This allow us to "step on the gas" by pulling on the belt. We still had to use the brake on the floor to stop the car. This was unfortunate. I was able to drive around all weekend like that, and, boy, was my dad pissed when he found out.

It's not fun having my dad mad at you, but he actually respected my reasoning behind this one. Plus he actually bought the replacement cable for the Pimpmoblie. I think he had a secret love for that car too.
